About
Dear Friends,
My name is James Womack; I am 18 years old, and I am currently a senior at Lamar Consolidated High School. I have been in my school’s color guard program for three years, and I am currently on the student leadership team as the head captain of the color guard, I am also currently marching with an independent winterguard called Redemption Guard in the WGI circuit. After High School I plan on attending the University of Houston, where I will study to earn my degree in interior design and dance. Color guard is essentially my life; it takes up more than 75% of my time and 100% of my heart. It is my passion, and I intend on performing for a very long time. My dream is to become a color guard director for a high school, or a world class performance organization like a drum corps or an independent winterguard. I recently had the privilege of spending my entire summer doing what I love, performing with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, and touring all over the country performing for the largest crowds packed into the most amazing stadiums including Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Indiana, and the Alamo Dome in San Antonio Texas. My favorite part of performing is the instant your performance is finished, and the crowd cannot help but stand and cheer. Being a world class performer and knowing that people come from miles around to see me do what I love creates insatiable warmth in my heart.
The Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps' tour is approximately 3 months long. I will be moving in for my second season with the Crossmen on May 27th 2012, and I will tour the country with them for three months, in competitions with other drum corps, all of which lead up to the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 15th.
In order to become a member of the Crossmen and go on tour, all performers must pay their tuition, which adds up to be approximately $2,700. As any middle class American family can agree, the ability to conger up such a sum of money is not quite as easy as it used to be; so; I am seeking sponsorships from local business and family friends to aid in paying my tuition for my 2012 season with the Crossmen. I have so far raised $1,050 and still need $1,650. I need all the help I can get, even the smallest donation makes a huge difference, and it is more than greatly appreciated.
I also have a website at which you can purchase or renew subscriptions to your favorite magazines (like People, All You, TIME and Sports Illustrated and many others) at up to 85% off, or enjoy exclusive offers on delicious cookie dough and Restaurant.com eCertificates, and each time you make a purchase, I’ll receive up to 40%. You can also support me by sharing this page and spreading the word to friends and family.
Thank You!
Whether you intend to become a sponsor or not, I would still love to hear back from you via email. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me. If you are interested in making a money donation, you can mail it (cash or check) or make a donation via PayPal If you wish to hand deliver anything just email me, and we will figure everything out.
