Out of how many points is each caption? I couldn't figure it out.

Yeah, I am going to get this info in the game guide when I finish the next update.

Corps/Marching Band: everything is out of 10 except GE, which are both out of 20
Guard: Equip,Mvmt,Ens out of 20, GE out of 40
Drumline: Music and GE out of 20, Visual out of 10

These are all modeled after DCI and WGI, although slightly modified to fit the purposes of this game.

Why are the effect categories out of 20?

They are worth more... harder to get. GE is worth more in scoring in real life, and he said he modeled the scoring off of real sheets so it makes sense.

In drum corps, typically the corps that wins GE will win the show.. there are those oddball years, like BD 97 where they won every caption except GE and still won.. or Phantom winning a few years ago but losing GE
