Before a screaming audience, the Druids performed their first show of the weekend with thunderous results. The Citrus Competition, an exclusively Div. II contest held by the Trojans DBC and housing a mere 292 audience members was the site for the Druid's first milestone of the Season-- taking the gold medal (and three caption awards, including BOTH GE's, to boot) and jumping 2.7 points into 10th place overall in Div. II.

Their show, "CHESS: The Game of War" depicts the corps split into two sides, black and white, with two separate drum majours. As the show goes on we see all facets of war, as well as cliches of the game-- a mulligan, "pieces" leaping over each other and hauling them off to the other end of the field, and even a stand-still section during the ballad. The show really kicks it up with canon fire effects and the 1812 Overture in the end-- which isn't finished yet, in Druid's fashion.

Drum Majour Nic Jorgenson had this to say,

"To all fans of FMADC and all Div. II corps-- watch out, 'cause the Druids are back with style."
