"And... for the silver medal... with a score of 9-6-5-3-0. Repeat. 9-6-5-3-0....... Regal Regiment."

Those words echoed as the crowd erupted into cheers. Director of the Tullahoma Azure Force sat down on the side of the field in pride especially as he heard of the Azure Echo's and Drum Machine's victories. It's been a long time coming. Ever since Season 3 of the FMA 1.0 circuit as a marching band, the Azure Force has dreamed of the day that they would finally win it all.

"And that means, with a score of 9-6-7-7-5, your new FMA Division 1 Drum Corps champion is... THE TULLAHOMA AZURE FORCE!"

The first time Tullahoma got a whiff of the Gold was back in Season 6 of FMA 1.0. Tullahoma had been undefeated through prelims and were considered the band to beat. And beat they were. Angry Band came from nowhere and knocked Tullahoma out. With their next show declaring that they were angry that Tullahoma had made it so close, Tullahoma never did it again. Never were they serious contenders. Even after the fold of Angry Band and since Tullahoma's switch to drum corps, Tullahoma hasn't tasted a medal since. Now. Over 20 seasons later, the curse is broken.

Founded as the Tullahoma Blues Band of Class, Tullahoma didn't make much of a splash their first season into the FMA world, but that changed quickly, making finals during their 3rd season of activity (it was during this season the Tullahoma Drum Machine was founded). Then the infamous Season 6 of FMA 1.0. Tullahoma's name change to the Tullahoma Blue Battalion came with an incredible run and their first medal, but Tullahoma had expected gold and despite breaking into the top 3, went home sad.

The next season, Tullahoma failed to deliver once more and didn't even crack the top 5. Hoping for a similar run that came with the identity change of season 6, Tullahoma changed to their final form, the Tullahoma Azure Force. While making the top 5, they had failed to medal yet again.

The drought would continue until season 11, when Tullahoma managed to take silver; however, once again, they drove home dissatisfied as their Angry rivals continued to soundly beat them.

The Tullahoma Azure Force would only medal one more time (season 14 of FMA 1.0) until this season's miraculous victory. And now, it seems Angry band's anger has finally abated and the curse on Tullahoma has been lifted. The Tullahoma Azure Force now holds the current world record for all circuits.

-----------------------

The Tullahoma Azure Echo was founded when the Tullahoma Azure Force switched to being a drum corps. While the change was controversial, Vinny, cast his vote and the decision was final. The Azure Echo would be formed to act as a feeder to the drum corps, indoor drumline, and winter guard as well as being a home for woodwinds who wanted to be Azure.

The Azure Echo seemed to have taken on residual anger from the Azure Force, as they too failed to even medal until now. Now setting the World Record for Marching bands, the Azure Echo is looking to make itself more distinct than as a simple feeder for the Azure Force.

-------------------

The Tullahoma Drum Machine was founded in FMA 1.0 season 5. They quickly found success, making finals in their second year.

As seems to have happened often to Tullahoma, in S12 of FMA 1.0, Tullahoma ran an undefeated season until prelims where they held onto 2nd for their first medal after being solidly beaten by the Cheshire Regiment Skin Bangers. Holding onto the silver, the Drum Machine seemed to have a fire lit in them. In their final 3 seasons of FMA 1.0 they medaled twice and gave Tullahoma their first (and until Season 15 of FMA 2.0, only) Gold Medal.

The Drum Machine's gold medal win this season was not as shocking as the rise of the Azure Force and Azure Echo. Medaling 3 times before the win, their victory was quite telegraphed.

-----------------------

"And receiving the silver medal in division 1, with a score of 9-9-2-3-0.... repeat... 9-9-2-3-0.... the Tullahoma City Spinners!"

Cheers erupted during this announcement last season as well as Josh of the Nobles of Grace finally won his first gold medal, still, the heartbreak of the all-female, Tullahoma City Spinners was evident on their faces. It only grew more dispaired as it was announced that they'd been beaten by a mere .045. Though they tried not to break, there were visible tears streaming down the faces of several girls.

This unit was formed to be an elite group for the Azure Force's guard. Almost every girl involved in the Tullahoma City Spinners, is not only a former Azure Forcer, but also an actual resident of Tullahoma. Having limited success when they were first formed, the City Spinners, quickly fought back and earned Tullahoma's first medal of FMA 2.0 with a division 2 silver in season 4.

Since then, they've been a consistent D1 finalist and started a major push by season 13 winning their first D1 medal ever. 2 seasons later, the City Spinners exploded and earned the first D1 Gold medal Vinny had seen since 15 seasons earlier, his Drum Machine had won FMA 1.0. Not only did they win the gold, they set the all time, all circuit, all unit score record being only .155 away from the perfect 100. Unfortunately this incredible success led to their future despair.

The City Spinners were the favorite to win it all once again. Driving into finals, having only briefly being overtaken by the Nobles of Grace during the midseason, the City Spinners proved their worth, taking both prelims and semi finals. They performed their hearts out, but unfortunately, the Nobles of Grace were simply a fraction of a point better. History was written and while every other unit of Tullahoma celebrated, the City Spinners rode home in silence. Those who didn't age out can only look ahead and hope that this season finally brings the success they know they can have.
