Hey everybody,
I've been perusing these threads all day and haven't come across much discussion about what people's strategies are for show hosting. I'm wondering if anyone would like to share any strategies. I used to host tier 6 shows and only accept members over 10,000 influence, but it seems like there are less active groups than there used to be. I've switched over to tier 5 but it still seems to be hard to fill up my shows with high influence groups. I also always set my ticket prices at 40 dollars but maybe I should lower them a bit.
IIRC, the highest amount I've earned from a show was $71,120 from a tier 6 drum corps show I hosted several seasons ago. I consider making upwards of $50,000 good for me for most seasons.
What do you do?
Also, what time of the season do you prefer to put your shows?

I do Tier 6 shows, but I accept whoever comes first. There are too many "smaller" groups on here who don't get accepted to shows.

Tier 5 shows. I'll take smaller groups, but I accept anyone in my league first (not exclusively, just first) and won't take groups with zero influence.

I've gone from tier 6 to tier 5 to tier 4. Prices have gone up from $25 to $40. I've never made more than $50000.

I do tier 2 and accept anyone over 1,000. Never a 0. I set tickets at 25-30. Most I've ever made was 26000 even.

Vinny, did that increase in ticket prices seem to help or hurt?
