I have a similar situation (nowhere near that, but it still happens to me). I think medals and such should be represented as raw numbers rather than symbols for this reason.

On a similar -- yet noobish -- topic. I've now got medals, trophies, banners, spit-wads, etc. in my trophy case. Is there a way to tell what part of your organization earned what particular honor during a season? I've only competed in one, so it's pretty straight forward, but a couple of my teams scored Gold Medals for the season -- and I'm not sure what the heck that means!
