On Saturday, October 26th, FMA brought us the top 12 Division 3 Drum Corps in the nation to complete in one final event, the FMA Championship. After a great night of performances, with each group giving their all, here is the results of Season 29!

In 12th place, with a score of 67.040, Iron Brigade! Their show, entitled "Mangione Suite" left us with thoughts of the happiness that childhood brought us. A well designed show, but lacked cleanliness of feet and Intonation of music.

In 11th place, with a score of 67.390, Avery Regiment! Their show "Fantasia", brought thoughts of make believe that left you feeling light and happy. This show was completely balanced though out, but just wasn't a strong enough performance to break the top 10.

In 10th place, with a score of 67.820, Vemix Regiment! Their show entitled, "Ali Baba's Adventure", sent the audience into a tale of Ali Baba as he travels through Wonderland. This was a solid show, with visible improvement. Congratulations of your 10th place finish!

In 9th place, with a score of 68.585, Lakers! Their show "Stop,Restart" brought an impactful visual experience. With props ranging from stop signs, to road closed signs. A well designed show through and through, but their forms were slightly off and that music has many phasing tears. With a clean run, this show could be top 5! Congratulations on your 9th place finish!

In 8th place, with a score of 69.670, Oreocoats! A pushing the boundaries show entitled "The Internet is Forever". With music selections such as "Numa Numa", and "Never Gonna Give You Up", this show has to be one of the most expensive to field in Season 29. Their preshow was delightful with sounds echoing around the stadium of a computer booting up. All this being said, their visuals cohesiveness is what truelly hold this corp back.

In 7th place, with a score of 70.365, Yellow Jacket Regiment! Their show entitled, " Hammer & Sickle", presented a huge wall that ran from 35 yd line to 35 yd line. During the show, the color guard, as well as the percussion busted the wall with an enormous hammer. Musically, their soloists were extremely nervous, one in which forgot multiple measures. Along with many members out of step. If this show was clean, easy top 5! Congratulations on 7th place!

In 6th place, with a score of 72.130, Gold Armada! Their show, "High Expectations" had lived up to its name all season, taking 1st place at every regular season show. Tonight, the Gold Armada was met with immense competition that may have shaken up the confidence of the Corp. During the show, slight mishaps began leading to more and more noticeable errors. Overall, a wonderful show, that if performed with the expectations throughout the season, may have led to a top 3 finish.

In 5th place, with a score of 73.715, Kiowan Cavaliers! Their show entitled, "Tarot: Mystical and Magical" expressed a beautiful love story that melted the hearts of the audience. The story of an Emperor and a fortune teller falling in love was brought out with lots of effect. This corp finished in the top 3 most of the regular season, but finals night jitters, along with phasing tears cost this corp a top 3 finish. Congratulations on getting 5th place!

In 4th place, with a score of 73.995, Each1Teach1! Their show entitled, "Superhumans", gave us the uplifting story of a superhero defending the world from the evil powers determined to end the art of Marching Band. Other than the huge image of superman on the field, visual effect was dampened without for design in the show. Congratulations for placing 4th in the nation!

In 3rd place, with a score of 74.015, Bronze Medalist Northern Warriors! Their show entitled, " A Spark in the Wind", presented us with some of the best music effect of the night. Musical selections include Ave Maria, Beethoven's 6th Symphony, and Vesuvius-Frank Ticheli. This corps focus was clearly on effect, and it showed. It left the crowd cheering for more. The downfall was in individual music and visual performance. Many members were sticking out musically, and many forms had individuals sticking out of the forms. Overall, a great Top 3 performance. Congratulations on your Bronze Medalist 3rd place finish!

In 2nd place, with a score of 77.230, Silver Medalist Wrightown Raiders! This show entitled, "Ways" achieved the best music performance of the night. Along with the percussion throwing sticks around to each other, playing each others drums. A very entertaining show throughout about choosing which "Way" you may take. Their colorguard displayed high class, and was super clean. What held this corp back, was the effect captions. IF more show design was incorporated into this show, they would have walked away with a Gold Medal. Congratulations on your Silver medalist finish!!!

In 1st place, with a score of 78.135, Gold Medalist Knights of Cydonia! Definitely the crowd favorite of the night. They performed an enlightening show entitled "Luminescense". This impactful performance sent the crowd into an out roar. The Corp was feeding off of this energy and kept it coming. What won this Gold Medal for the core was the effect and ensemble captions, along with being well balanced musically and visually. Congratulations on winning Season 29 FMA Division 3 Championship!

All in all, a great night to enjoy your favorite Drum Corps in Division 3! Congratulations to all Corps for a great season. We look forward to your success next season!
