I think it would be nice if there was a way to know if somebody read the message(s) that you sent them. It would be helpful because I send messages to people in my league and I'm never sure if they read them or not.

This ain't Facebook foo. There is a thing called privacy, something that Facebook doesn't inherit, nor any members of Facebook who has a sense of it.

No privacy issue with sender being able to see if it was opened. It is quite common in these types of.environments. Outlook and Outlook express have the capability. Most membership sites, whether a free or pay site, offer this.
