If I were to take my NickDrum's account and rehearse a ton and not have any shows could I possibly still take first!?! Last season, I entered in really late and my Marching Band still made semi-finals, literally i barely rehearsed

I took 1st.

The first time I did that I think I took 1st 3 out of my 4 groups, and 2nd in the other group. The last time I did it I didn't do AS good, but still ended up in the top 2-4 spots I think.

It's all about strategy.. you don't NEED to do shows, it just gives you a good idea on how you are doing and how you should be adjusting.

As far as I know, you don't have to attend any shows during the regular season to be entered into prelims. So, the short answer is yes.

Ok thanks, with my NickDrum account I'm focusing on using my energy on getting money and influence, I might do the same next season and that way if I barely do any shows I might still make finals?

I don't think it's possible to full-out campaign and be able to make finals--in any division--but I'm sure someone could prove me wrong.

I made finals in D2 a couple times while campaigning full time.

When you all say "full out campaign" or whatever what do you mean? I constantly have a 60 campaign running from start to finish.

Spending 60 energy for something either cash or influence.

It's possible, but probably not likely in D1 anymore. In the early seasons I used to do that while always making top 5 in D1

Yeah, a complete re-distribute of the divisions and possibly a division 4
, No offense but some groups in division 1 are so strong they crush everyone! Division two is ok, but they should make a division four for groups with 1-20 directors level, 21-30 for division 3, 31-120 for division 2 and etc i dont know how to mathmatically figure it out haha

They do crush everyone.. but that's called competition. BUT.. if a group works hard and is patient has a good strategy there is NO reason they can't be competitive in Div 1 within a few seasons. It happened recently.. and I'm sure it will happen again

The season I swept Div. 3 I was fundraising for about 50% of the season. This season I've had a lot of fundraising in too.
