For those interested-DCPI will be starting a new season in Januarary!

DCPI is a fantasy league that uses real scores (historical in off seasons and current in live seasons) from drum corps international events. The upcoming "off season" you will use scores from 2011-2014 from each category to represent your corps in World, Open or CLASS A divisions OR join all 3. Unlike here there is no advantage that "seasoned" players have over newbies (other than experience). As a matter of fact our own FMAer and CLASS Corps Ivory Brigade won last season as a newbie! Several Members here are very active on DCPI as well as CLASS being one of two premiere organizations there!

reagrdless of my typos--you should! Its a lot of fun to use real scores and its a great group of people over there--some have become good friends over the years and we even try to have a meet up at finals for those who go!

can someone explain how this works?

It's similar to most fantasy leagues like football or basketball where someone's real life score represents part of your score. ... So you have blue devils 2013 for GE music maybe and crown 2012 for ge visual. Whatever they got you get for that caption. You use points to pick what corps for each caption but can't go over a max. The higher the corps placed the more points they cost.

Corps created, show schedule half done, captions set, for now lol. Gcurrier, is there anything special to do to join CLASS there? A thread or something? I looked, but couldn't find anything. I have entered the CLASS Championship with all 3 corps though.

Yeah if I can win a division in my first season and place in Finals with my other two groups you can definitely do it too.

I will admit to slacking and not putting in a show for the schedule on time and it meant that the second show in Missouri went to Columbia instead of down in Springfield. Though to be fair they probly have a nicer stadium.

I believe that the administrator will add your groups to the data base. afterward, you pick your captions and create your tour schedule.

Ok so this is semi interesting, I started on FMA in season 23 and my first season on DCPI will also be season 23......
