As season 40 comes to a close, it is important to begin planning for season 41.

The Thunderbirds Drum and Bugle Corps will be performing their show entitled, "Night". The opener, Dusk by Steven Bryant, symbolizes the beginning of the dark hours. Dusk is followed by A Night On Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky which represents the scarier side of night. The balad, Nox Aurumque by Eric Whitacre plays the part of the serene and somewhat calmer side of night. The closer, a version of Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven which was arranged specifically for the Thunderbirds, finishes our night off.

The Aviators Marching Band will be performing their show entitled, "Light" This show is meant to be the opposite of "Night" in that is themed for the daylight hours. It opens with an excerpt from The Light by Philip Glass. This is followed by a percussion feature, Enchanted Light by Nathan Daughtrey. The ballad will be Lux Aurumque by Eric Whitacre. The show will then finish how it began, with another excerpt of The Light by Philip Glass.

The Aviators Color Guard will perform their season 41 show, "Dragonborn". The show will be set to music created for the video game "Skyrim" by Jeremy Soule. The first soloist will play the part of the Dragonborn, a hero with the blood of a dragon. The second soloist will play the part of Alduin, a dragon who is commonly referred to as The World Eater, who devours the souls of the dead. Alduin can only be defeated by a Dragonborn. Half of the guard will side with the Dragonborn to assist him/her on his/her quest to destroy Alduin. The other half will play the part of Alduin's dragon allies.

The High Flying Aviators Drumline will feature a show titled, "Shock". The show is meant to portray electricity in its most potent and dangerous form, lightning. "Shock" will include original music composed by our arranger.
