I was just wondering why all four activities (drum corps, marching band, guard, and percussion) are going on at the same time? Wouldn't it be more realistic if the schedule of these activities followed what really goes on in life? Drum corps = summer, marching band = fall, guard and percussion = winter/spring? Just a thought.

I thought about this as well one day, but then there are some people that don't do any winter groups, so they would have to wait a season to compete again. But just having their seasons in the winter/spring, summer/fall is too long of a time span. MAYBE having an outdoor season then an indoor season then another outdoor and so on wouldn't be too bad, but having their schedule follow reality is just too long.
