Greetings from the Platinum Performing Arts Association! First of all we'd like to give a congratulations to all our competitors back in Season 44 for allowing us to have an exciting competitive season. We hope that you all also enjoyed our Season 45 exhibition tour with some great stand tunes. We are also proud to announce that we will return to the competitive field for Season 46 with some superb shows. And for the first time in our history, all of our ensembles will be maxed out in membership.

Our main organization, the Platinum Regiment, will be performing "Art(isms)" inspired by the wind ensemble piece by Randall Standridge. In "Art(isms)" we will be portraying and creating different styles of art on the field, not only visually and but also musically. Our feeder organization, the Platinum Cadets, will be performing "Clocks" by John Meehan. In it each individual performer will be expected to be act as an individual piece to the marching band machine just like gear works in a clock. This show will definitely by the hardest production that the Platinum Cadets have done yet. Our indoor percussion ensemble, Platinum Indoor, will be performing "The Art of War" with music arranged and written by Paul Rennick. In it, the ensemble will showcase the various strategies and tactics that were presented in the similarly titled book by Sun Tzu. And finally our winter guard will perform "Human Sadness" based upon the song "Human Sadness" by Julian Casablancas + The Voidz. In it, the guard will portray the progression of sadness into depression and will end with a melancholic return to a state of normalcy. This show will be the most emotional show the guard has performed yet at this point. To learn more details of our organizations' shows, visit this profile and check it out!

We are also proud to announce our new partners! We have partnered with Yamaha (brass, percussion, and electronics), Zildjian (cymbals), FJM inc. (uniforms and guard equipment), and DSI (shoes and guard equipment). Along with our exciting new partners, Platinum Regiment is pushing the level of innovation by becoming the first drum corps to utilize the B-flat Cornet as the main soprano voice of the hornline. As our brass caption head states, "Unlike the trumpet, the cornet has a conical bore, meaning that if you stretch it out, it will be a cone rather than a cylinder. This provides a warmer and less edgy sound that will compliment nicely with our signature sound that we are developing." More information will be provided in our ensemble bios.

Our partners at FJM inc. have also provided us with new uniforms for the Platinum Regiment and Platinum Cadets. Check them out!

This will also be our first competitive season with a new set of leagues that we have joined. Due to the inactivity of the leagues we were with during our few season hiatus, we have ventured on to more active leagues that we are glad that we have joined. Thank you to CLASS, BRAVO!, PEARL, and FLAG for accepting us into your family and we are glad to represent you for this season and many to come.

Finally, and unfortunately, due to a slight financial mishap, we will not be able to host our "Platinum Festival of Corps/Bands/Guards/Drums". However, do watch out in future seasons and please support our organizations by joining those events, it really helps us out.

Thank you for reading our announcements and good luck to all in Season 46 and all other future seasons!
