As this season comes to a close, both ensembles of the Chicago Music Production are looking at their first D3 gold medal in only the 2nd year of activity. With the Chicago Wind capturing all captions and almost 10 point ahead of everyone else, and the Windy City Indoor Percussion capturing almost all captions and almost 5 points ahead of the rest of D3, we anticipate the possibility of moving up to D2. With this possibility hanging in the balance, the shows we have decided upon are more challenging, and more interesting than the past 2 seasons in FMA.

The Chicago Wind is pleased to announce their Season 47 show "Five", featuring music from the five Russian composers known also as "The Mighty Handful", who shaped Russian music history. The pieces and movements will be announced during pre-season, as we as staff are still arranging which piece to do for each movement,

Glass has long inspired and captivated artists and the public alike. It has the ability to be plain and functional or extravagant and artistic. From the artistry of old-time glass blowers to the colorful assemblages of Dale Chihuly, glass has served as a poetic muse for artists who have created some of the most beautiful works of art ever witnessed.

The Windy City Indoor Percussion's "Transparency", written and arranged by Key Poulan, explores the various degrees of clarity of glass. The music is thick and impenetrable, then light and open, and finally invisible and airy.

We hope you enjoy our shows, and we wish you all the best of luck in this final week of S46, and the upcoming season!
