Good evening! After earning back to back top five finishes for the first time since Seasons 30-31 (almost two real calendar years, by the way), the Lexington Legends have re-established ourselves as a corps to reckon with. However, we still have work left to do - we don't yet have a Medal since our comeback, and we have never finished 1st. One might say our work is... Unfinished. Which leads me to our news. We now present you with our Season 47 field show:

"Unfinished"

Many great composers have died with work on the table, and we thought their unfinished music would be a great parallel to use given the unfinished nature of our mission to win DI Gold. Our show will be roughly split in half.

The 1st half of our show will mostly feature sections of the great Mozart Requiem. After a brief slow introduction (or pre-show) using the Introitus, the show will turn "fast and angry", using the Confutatis and Dies Irae sections from Mozart's Requiem. The music will continue to whip itself into a frenzy before the first half ends with the fourth movement scherzo from Mahler's Symphony No. 10.

The 2nd half of our show will begin with the famous Puccini aria from "Turandot," Nessun Dorma. Nessun Dorma will not get to it's climax, however - the slow theme from Borodin's Polovtsian Dances (from his opera "Prince Igor") will start poking through before taking over. The show's conclusion will be a rousing rendition of Polovtsian Dances, with a dramatic accelerando and crescendo driving it to the end.
