New Zealand International Open Series is Struggling

The 11th edition of the New Zealand International Open series of shows is struggling for season 48. Our numbers are down for this prestigious landmark series of shows. While the drum corps show has 23 confirmed corps competing, there are still 7 slots open. The indoor percussion, guard, and marching band shows are in worse shape, having less than half a field of groups confirmed for each event.

Our shows are being held on Christmas Eve in the beautiful city of Christchurch, New Zealand. Where else in the world would you want to celebrate your Christmas holiday? Christchurch is in full bloom summer right now. Current temperature is 86°f. That's right! We celebrate 4th of July style down under Christmas in the park, at the beaches, and in the stadiums.

If your group has an opening, help make this series the successful events they have always been. December 24th! If your group has the availability, click that button.

As always, Air New Zealand is coming to the party, providing a fleet of fully customized SST's to ensure your timely arrival and return back to the States. They have even went so far as to secure replays of Season 47s FMA Finals for all 4 championships! Theresa no excuse to not be there. Come celebrate Christmas Kiwi style, and you may just bring home the trophies.

For those in my shows this season, get ready for a real scorcher. Temps have been in the mid to high 90s all week. SERIOUSLY!! Hope you guys and gals enjoy a few days of summer in New Zealand, even if only virtual
