Some ideas:

After looking at what some of the other combines are doing, I saw that NEC (Northeast Combine) made an FMA profile specifically for hosting competitions. I think it would be cool if we could do the same. If we set a profile like this up, I'd be willing to start it and take the September 15th date for a tournament. We could set it up as a FMA West championship with some other corps from other combines invited to compete in "exhibition."

Another was that GCC (Gulf Coast Combine) and NEC planned a joint competition. Maybe we could talk to the other combines and set one up.

Any thoughts?

Just for the record, I don't think we can have a competition on Sep. 15th. I think it's the gap day between the last day of regular competitions and the prelims, just like (I think) the 5th was this month.

Oh, and I do like the idea of having a profile specifically for hosting competitions. I think it's a good idea.

Sounds good. I think the last day for competition is September 14th. The combine profile can host FMA West Championships on that day. And Alex finally posted something regarding the rules on Combine Profiles and says he's fine with them, they just have to be marked clearly. Want me to start it up, or does someone else want to take care of it?

Since BlueDevils started the West Combine system, I think it's only fitting we pay homage to them and have Concord host the first championship. Any objections?

We now have a total of 8 members marching in our combine finals, which is great.

I'm going to start adding in other groups marching in exhibition, so our combine account can make at least SOME money on the competition. Maybe we'll be able to upgrade venues in the near future?

Thoughts? I'd like to get the thoughts of our own membership before making a decision.

I don't see our combine gaining another 12 people this season (I mean, I suppose anything's possible, but it seems unlikely) so I personally think that adding some other groups would be fine, since we have the spots available.

Alright. I think if we don't gain anymore members, we'll downsize our venue next season.
With the creation of the the East Coast Circuit next season, we are seriously outnumbered though.
