I'm starting here but open to anyone discussing from any league

Seasons ago, several of us discussed starting our own version of FMA. not because we don't love it here, but due to the few issues we have little control over, most importantly the site going down. I think we all fear that day when it simply doesn't come back.

Due to that, we have reached out to a few webmasters, the piece we were really missing, to inquire about cost. $25 per hour at 20 hours to build is the current estimate. The question then becomes who would be interested and are any able to contribute financially at all? We would also have to determine hosting. Is this too much for us to pull off or are we determined for its success. What are your thoughts?

I will pitch in financially as long as there is a clear cut plan as to what it's going to be and I'm involved in the decision making process.

I unfortunately would be unable to really commit time or money to this :/ I'm just not in a good enough spot for that. Although I'd definitely join the site to participate for sure...

I'm willing to contribute to this as well, as long as Alex is kept in the loop and is keen on this plan

I could contribute some money, depending on how well executed the plan is. I know next to nothing about code or programming, but i would love to be a part of the more creative aspects of the site if possible. The real question is, do we have enough people to make all this worth while

Ya that's kind of where we are at Alexander, do we have enough. I don't think it's that there's anything "wrong" here minus guard. Just worried that one day could be the end and then we've got nothing

I dont have an issue with the site either. Its like you said though, there is always the threat of the site not running anymore. I do think it would be cool to make our own site and make some changes to make the game more creative and engaging. It would also put everyone on even footing again, making results a lot more unpredictable.Maybe one day in the future we can figure something out

Maybe for now, we build a list or facebook page or something that allows us to keep in touch with each other should the page go down? Then if needed we could build from there or continue discussions about building

A facebook group chat is something I have actually been thinking about for a while. That way we have a live chat at all times!

Hey all, I figured this is a better time than any to say that I'll be back for this summer. I took a lot of time off because college was a trip and I was busy marching DCA last summer, but I'm gonna be back competing until I have to head back to college, and we'll see how it goes after that.
