Everyone, a huge reason we decided we needed to do this is not purely social, though it's great that it will do that too! Its too ensure that even if this site ever goes down, it can continue elsewhere! We all know that we've had glitches here or there that could have ended FMA as we know it, but that doesn't mean it would have to stop. This gives us a place to connect should that happen! Keep FMA ALIVE!! join us!

I'm generally sensitive with my facebook. Why do I have to friend you? Why can't we just use something like https://www.dubtrack.fm/join/marchingarts that is a public forum and we can play BOA/DCI/WGI related music for each other in the process? At least that's public.

I am having people friend me so as to get them into the group chat. I don't believe I can add someone unless they are on my friends list.

We decided to use Facebook because it is something everyone seems to have nowadays. I totally get not wanting to share your Facebook with anyone though. I just figured with the tools at hand, it is more likely to get more people involved via Facebook than any other site.

As the first person ever elected to the FMA hall of fame (I'm going to use my street cred on this one) I say that's a bad idea. Find something everyone can use with an easy link.

i have a Facebook account that i use just for games. i don't believe that keeping in contact with me is very important, but for the cause, I'll do it to help keep the site alive. Would a Facebook group page work better? You don't necessarily have to be friends on Facebook to join groups.

I have no problem adding people from here to my Facebook. I've already added quite a few. I'll try out discord, too :-)
