Only strange thing I've encountered so far is all my groups have twice the amount of money that they should have. I'll take it though.

That might have to do with the season resetting twice.

Really excited for this season! I originally joined way back in S12, placed sometime in S1X, went off to college and disbanded my organization. I saw the promo in r/drumcorps and decided to start a new profile!

According to the homepage, we currently have 401 active groups, which is already more than the 393 of last season. I hope this means that this game is getting a lasting resurgence!

My first season back since 80 resulted in pretty good Finals placements for my drum corps and drumline while my colorguard and marching band placed fairly low because it was their first time in Div 2. Honestly would rather stay in D3 for another season and see if I can medal for the first time since 78.

Hmm these division placements are interesting... there are some people who just joined FMA and in Division 2. I think it's due to the sudden increase in new players being lumped in Division 3 and offsetting everyone else but i'm not too sure. In your case since you won Division 3 it's natural to move up in a season (I moved up after winning D3 myself).

I think with the recent surge of players, there's more groups for there to be in each division, so that may be why. I know in S84 my drum corps placed 5th and we didn't move up, and this last season they once again placed 5th, but we moved up.

Yeah i created a 2nd group to host an event and it was immediately div. 2 but your explanation makes a lot sense thank you
And i honestly did not think i would win div. 3 starting basically 2 weeks late but man was i suprised everyday

A lot of Division 3 players don’t play through the whole season, it’s reasonable to win it if you log in just twice a day

It's good though if that is the case, because more groups make the game more fun! I am happy with the surge in players and I hope it sticks! It'll just make for an interesting season.

I said I wanted to podium D2 this season. Well it looks like I'm D1 now lol and I placed 7th last season. Maybe it does have to do with the increase in players?
