Season 88 FMA Drum Corps Fan Favorite

Hey everyone, Jimmy John here. I've been having an idea of having an unofficial drum corps "Fan Favorite" poll similar to how DCI runs theirs. I think this will be a great way to feature some well-designed shows by the FMA community, and if this becomes a recurring thing maybe we can get r/drumcorps to participate in voting and advertise FMA as well.

If you're interested in having your group in the poll, feel free to drop your groups name, their show title and repertoire, and an (optional) brief description of the show. I'm seeing a few groups making show announcements currently, which is great! Simply copy and paste your show announcement here and it will be added to the polls as well.

Voting will start once divisions are assigned. I'm thinking of having a winner for each division and an overall winner. Winners will be mentioned at the beginning of each new week (when I do the top 12 rankings) along with the caption winners of the week. There will also be a section in my recap roundup at the end of the season for the show with the most votes, which will explain the inspiration behind the show (like a mini corps spotlight).

I'm not exactly sure yet how voting will work/be enforced. I have a general idea but I'm open to suggestions. Let me know what y'all think down below. I can't wait to see how this turns out :)

SoundSpuds Drum & Bugle Corps S88
"Rite of String"
Rite of Spring - Igor Stravinsky
Other Selections from Classical Works.

The SoundSpuds explore the world of classical music with their S88 production, "Rite of String". With music mostly from Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring", the corps will take the field in brown and white costumes with each section representing a different member of the string family. 4 props - a large Viola, Violin, Bass, and Cello.

Are we only doing drum corps or are we doing others too? Also, doing a Google Form would probably work best.

yeah for now just drum corps since it's mainly for the recap roundup, but if this goes well maybe I'll open it up to the other circuits. And yeah I think Google Forms would be easiest for everyone to vote on so I'll begin entering groups in

Hey y'all, voting will begin as soon as tonight's score are released, so drop your show down below if you want it to be added this week.

Here's how voting will work:
- Voters can choose their top, second, third, fourth, and fifth favorite shows based off of the submissions received in this thread. Only one show can be chosen for each category, so any duplicates will be removed.
- First choice receives 5 points, second receives 4 points, third receives 3 points, fourth receives 2 points, and fifth receives 1 point.
- The show receiving the most points at the end of the week wins the title for that week and are removed from any future polls (to give other shows a chance to win).
- Voting begins on Monday of each week when scores are released and ends the following Monday at the same time.
- By the beginning of week 5 we should have 4 winners for each week (unless there are ties). These winners will be added to a final poll that will determine the overall winner and ends as soon as scores for finals are released. Write-ins will be allowed if there are shows you really like that didn't make the final cut.
