Hello everyone and welcome to the new PERC Chat. Even though we cannot change the header on our page, PERC has now re-branded to Percussion Ensembles Rising for the Challenge. For many seasons we payed tribute to PEARL, but now it's time to establish our own true identity. We are in the process of designing a web site for the league, which we plan on getting it online this season.

I'd like to welcome our newest members, Gold Coast Indoor, Osaka Bay Performing Arts, A5 Rhythm, and The Holy Stampede. We are attracting high quality percussion ensembles which is a definite bonus. As a league, we need to build up the grassroots programs as these ensembles are our future.

This past season, 87, we had 4 Div I finalists, 1 Div II finalist, and no group representing in Div III.DI saw Robinson Secondary School Indoor Drum Line take the silver at FMA Finals with a score of 97.160, Knights Drumline in fourth with 93.100, Aftershock NZ Indoor Percussion placed 8th with a final score of 91.520, while Marine IPE held down 11th with a score of 89.045.

A special congratulations goes to Wagyu Beats, who successfully defended their Div II title, claiming back to back gold medals with a Finals score of 84.270. We can only anticipate good things for the future of this line. Congratulations.

Most of our schedule is complete, though we will be adding shows for the second half of the season. We did this to accommodate any new drumlines who join us.If anyone has a request for a show to be added on a specific date, please leave a comment here or message me and we will get it scheduled. Also, message me if you'd like to have your home show listed on our schedule.

We are always looking for new lines to join this league, whether new to FMA or a seasoned vet, we can and will accommodate you. Best wishes for a successful season to PERC Lines and all FMA competing lines.

A unique advantage to being a PERC active member drumline is the availability of the PERC All Star Alumni Drumline to perform in exhibition at your show. The PERC All Star Alumni Drumline is a high influence group (currently just over 146,000) which has a loyal fan following. They are guaranteed to help fill your seats at your shows which can only be a good thing for PERC drumlines. While we are scored at every show, our scores are not competitive as we are solely an exhibition line. As all alumni lines should be, our scores are GE based as we present different takes on various PERC drumline shows from the past.
So for next season, we are now accepting requests to apply for your show. Remember, your line must be an active PERC Drumline to take advantage of this awesome benefit. Best wishes to all PERC drumlines for a successful season this time around.

Well here we are almost mid-season 88 and PERC drumlines are well represented in all divisions. We currently have 17 active lines this season, 14 of which are actively competing, and one exhibition line. 2 of these lines are actively campaigning and not competing. We'd love to see you guys in at least our Championship this season as we have spots available. It would be a good gauge as to how effective your campaigns are.

Currently in Div III we have 4 competing lines with 2 currently ranked in the top 12. Here's the breakdown. PERC ranking first, then overall FMA Divisional ranking in parenthesis.

1 (6) 61.460 - Passaic HS Marching Indoor Percussion
2 (11) 57.205 - Supernova
3 (14) 56.155 - Gold Coast B Indoor
4 (31) 47.075 - A5 Rhythm

Divison II is shaping up nicely with 3 lines ranked in the top 12 out of 4 competing lines.

1 (3) 79.415 - Wagyu Beats
2 (4) 78.155 - Gold Coast Indoor
3 (6) 76.150 - Aftershock NZ Indoor Percussion B
4 (13) 69.280 - The Holy Stampede Percussion
5 (15) 68.260 - PERC All Star Alumni Drumline (exhibition group only, so all lines below have been moved up one position to account for
this, which there are none)

Division I has 6 competing lines with 3 currently in the FMA top 12.

1 (2) 89.895 - Knights Drumline
2 (3) 89.340 - Robinson Secondary School Indoor Drum Line
3 (6) 86.045 - Aftershock NZ Indoor Percussion
4 (13) 82.115 - The Holy Winged Percussion
5 (14) 81.785 - Marine IPE
6 (22) 71.560 - Renegade Percussion

Again, the management team here at PERC want to want to congratulate all member lines on their season 88 successes so far and we look forward to bringing home some FMA hardware again this season. Best wishes to all for the remainder of season 88.
