Beginning in season 103, the Spirit of Bucktown Drum and Bugle Corps will be competing under a league called the Michigan Competing Drum Corps Association (MCDCA). While membership will be granted to groups in or out of state; regular season contests, regionals, and the MCDCA Grand Nationals will all take place in the state of Michigan, venues TBA. The hope is to set Ford Field as the stage for Grand Nationals, and membership will be slow in the first few seasons. Because of this new business venture, we have moved away from the league CLASS and will be focusing the corps' competitive attention to the newly-founded league.

The Cavalcade of Brass event that has gone strong for 21 seasons will continue, but will be hosted by the MCDCA in week 3 of the regular season, with MCDCA Grand Nationals being hosted the last 3 days of the regular season, with FMA Championships the following 3 days.

The Michigan Competing Drum Corps Association is affiliated with Buchanan High School and the Buchanan High School Performing Arts Association.
