The following is an interview with Cire the Director of Div I Colour Guard "V"
It was an interesting interview if nothing else.
If anyone else is interested in an interview please feel free to contact me.

How did you come up with your guards name?
V is our guards name. Our guard consists of all females, and thus V becomes their name. The V represents the female form, as a chalice, the bringer of life. This is the best representation of our members. It also like an upside down stick figure legs with the legs spread apart.. this too is a good representation of our members since almost all of them are lesbians or very slutty.

How much time do you put in to your guard, personally?
The only time not put into the guard is the time spent sleeping or eating. Sometimes we practice while we eat... we tried practicing while sleeping, but things were not getting done. Practicing is very important, and almost every second of the day is spent practicing or preparing to practice.

What is your show concept and how did it come to Fruition?
Our season 2 production is called "The Way Things Are". It is a story following a young couple throughout their lives. The audience will be pulled into a world full love and happiness; which turns for the worst for the couple. The production features an all original composition with four movements; 1. Lust 2. Love 3. Hatred 4. Murder.

Do you like how this season is turning out so far?
We are currently sitting in 3rd. While our goal is to finish first (last year we finished 2nd) anything in the top 3 is acceptable. We have room to grow and improve, and we plan on moving up by the end of the season.

How many Staff does your guard have?
This is confidential but we currently have 9 staff members all ranked between 1-12

Do you like parental volunteers involved?
No. We feel parents do not like how we yell, beat, torture, make fun of, abuse, and ridicule our members. The parents do not realize that this is the best way to teach their kids, so we do not let parents involved during practices, or to be in contact with the members during the season.

What is the furthest you will travel this season?
We travel (in competition, clinics, and exhibition) all over the world. This year alone we have traveled to 12 states, 8 countries, and 3 continents.

Does your guard have any traditions or ceremonies you do before performances?
Every night before a competition the girls like to make a huge pentagram in a fire and do some sort of ritual. I'm not sure exactly what they are doing, but they say that it is good luck. Who knows..

If you could offer any suggestions to newer players, what insight would you have for them?
This activity is not for everyone. If you do not think you are good enough to be a champion, you should go join your local high school guard. Practice, dedication, and not sucking is the key.

What is your guard mission statement?
To win. Anything else is unacceptable.
