Hello to all members of the Gentlemanly Leagues. The S127 Championships have passed! Please join me in congratulating all who participated and won in their respective divisions.

I'm writing to address a bit of an issue I have seen in recent seasons. It would seem as though the number of active ensembles across the board is diminishing. This season, LGDC was the only league of ours to host all 3 divisions on Day III. This is the second season in a row that LGDC does not have all three divisions present for Day III.

If you are an active member, I encourage you to participate in all three days. We've all got a shot at earning the title of Gentlemanly Champion!

The other hand in this issue seems to be the number of new members each season. Thank you to those on the BoD who have made efforts to recruit new members. However, I feel as though we need something else to attract the attention of new players. I am open to any and all ideas that you may have to help not only our numbers but our community engagement.

Good morning! This is GL Coordinator sopranomachine. I hope you had a successful season across all of your ensembles. While my own ensembles are on hiatus, I still want to ensure our league is thriving.

A few updates regarding our league:

First, invites for the S141 Recruiting Class will go out shortly- Board members, if you have any ensembles in mind, please invite them!

Next, schedule changes. We have brought back the mid-season regional, taking place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on August 31st. Please attend! We have also made the decision to restructure our league championships to two days instead of the original three. This comes from wanting to respect the traditional FMA schedule, in which Masters of FMA occurred on the first day of Week 5. There has been a push to host the legendary show on that date, so to encourage higher GL representation and respect tradition, we have reorganized our championships. They are now GL Champion's Series: Semifinals and Finals. Next season they will be reorganized as GL Champion's Series: Festival and Contest. The Festival's score are recorded, but not published. We want to save the spirit of competition for the championship proper, and allow our attending ensembles to have a show where the focus is not the score but rather performance.
