The Southern West Virginia Marching Administration has announced the return of the Cadets of West Virginia (fmr. Beckley Cadets) from their 4 season hiatus. Unfortunately, due to administrative failures during the hiatus, the corps will be starting from the beginning, soon to grow back to their former glory.

The SWVMA has also announced plans to form a new FMA league in the near future, known as the Appalachian Marching Association. Their plan is to accept corps from across West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Tennessee, and Ohio, starting in Season 140.
