Moonlit Birthday Guard Competition
Monday, November 15, 2010
Hosted by Lunar Anomaly* (Directed by Guardinstructor11)

Hello! And welcome to the IIEA Review! Yesterday IIEA group Lunar Anomaly hosted the Moonlit Birthday Guard Competition! We would like to wish Guardinstructor11 a belated birthday! Now here is a review of the show.

Division I | IIEA Scholastic and Open World Class

Division I saw close competition for 3rd and 4th place, with only a .210 gap between them. The competition between 1st and 2nd was not as profound, but still close with a 1.995 point gap. The first place winner was Night Area High School, who was last season's Division II champs. Currently ranked 17th, it is hard to tell if they will come close to finals this season. Their show, Two Worlds from the Broadway musical, Tarzan was received well by the judges, and their placement shows it. The second place guard, the Wildcat Color Guard's show, “?” provoked much interest, and applause from the crowd. In third, General Mclane's guard, GM Guard, shot excitement into the audience with their show, James Bond. And finally, Angelus Winter Guard entertained with their show, Galacticos. Overall it was an exciting night in FMA Division I!

Here are the FMA Division I standings:
1st – 62.800 – Night Area High School Colorguard (High Equipment, High Movement, High Ensemble, High GE)
2nd – 60.005 – Wildcat Color Guard
3rd – 58.610 – GM Guard
4th – 58.480 – Angelus Winter Guard

Division II | IIEA Scholastic and Open A Class

Scores here in Division II were much more spread out. From first to sixth, there was a 7.360 point difference. Getting first tonight was White Cross Magic, with their show Opposites Attract. The flow from movement to movement was phenomenal, and it showed in their General Effect score, getting the second highest in all divisions competing in yesterday's show.

FMA Division II standings:
1st – 60.440 – White Cross Magic (High Equipment, High Movement, High Ensemble, High GE)
2nd – 57.735 – The Aftermath
3rd – 56.485 – Gemstone Spin
4th – 55.310 – Infinity Winterguard
5th – 54.450 – Winter Solstice
6th – 53.080 – Envision Academy of Arts Winter Guard

Division III | IIEA Scholastic and Open Novice Class

Yesterday's scores in this division were close in the fight for 2nd and 3rd place. The Phoenixville Flame got it by just .410 of a point through the ensemble and general effect categories. The first place guard, Elegance, was truly elegant with getting the High Movement caption. This division was very diverse in captions, with the top four all in the same range for the Equipment and Movement captions. Ensemble and General effect is what made the placements last night.

Here are the FMA Division III standings:
1st – 56.670 – Elegance (High Movement, High GE)
2nd – 55.910 – The Phoenixville Flame (High Ensemble)
3rd – 55.500 – Streak
4th - 53.545 – Ginbaggers (High Equipment)
