Personally, I am probably not going to see any DCI shows this year... I'm not liking the way they're setting up Championships now.

Olmstead...because they are letting Open Class compete with World class now? Is that what you dislike? You know they used to let them do that till the early part of the 2000's I believe. Magic of Orlando made finals as a Div II Corps. I don't see how this is a bad thing. It allows us to see more Corps for one ticket and will hopefully boost attendance as well. More bang for our buck. Plus I don't see any Open Corps really threatening for a finals spot like Magic used too. Maybe for a semi's spot between perhaps three groups but that's a bit of a stretch itself.

@Olmstead90
I love the new championship schedule, mainly because I'm marching open class and I would love to perform agains BD, Phantom, ect.. but it's going back to the good ol' days. It's a great way to showcase all of the great corps in both Open and World class.

Before the Magic "thing" the winner of Div 2 could compete in quarters.. the whole Magic thing was stupid. They never should have been in Div 2.. and I think (conspiracy?) that because of Magic's score, Cavaliers were scores just a tad higher, just so Div 2 wouldn't outscore Div 1.. even though they are judged on different sheets (which give roughly a 10 point boost to Div 2/3)

Well once magic or any corps is competing in div 1 they are then scored on div1 sheets but yes that was ridiculous that year that they were forced to be division 2 and frankly screwed that legitimate class of corps out of their trophies just because magic took a few years off

Well the point was is that they still made finals :-P Whether they deserved to be in Div II or not, at this point, it doesn't really matter since so much has changed since that point as well.

Can't wait to see Madison this summer! The name sounds like it will be similar to 2010's show. Can't wait!

The Cadets' show is called "Angels in the Architecture" based off of the piece by Ticheli they're playing.
