Season five opened with a bang, literally. At Sunday’s “Drumming in Ontario” which took place in Ontario, CA (yay, local show for me). A total of 546 people arrived at the venue to be entertained by awesome drumlines. The host of this event was Pulse, whose show is titled “Hit the Floor,” featuring the song “Let the Bodies Hit the Floor” by Drowning Pool. Of course, this caused members from every performing unit to trip and fall during their performances. I was dismayed when one of the members of the pit in SouthBeat just collapsed to the ground during his woodblock solo. This made the judges deduct 8.4 points from our visual score. When the shows were over and the scores were announced, we went to different houses in the neighborhood and sang Christmas carols…in Portuguese.
