I have created a system to rank all Division I groups that have finished in the top 12 in any season. The points are based on their finishes in each season they have competed. If you are not listed you can configure your points to see where you would fit in. To make the list you must finish in the top 12 in any season.

POINT SYSTEM

Division 1
1st- 100 points
2nd- 90 points
3rd- 85 points
4th-12th- 75 points
13th-20th- 65 points
21st+ - 50 points

Division 2
1st- 85 points
2nd- 75 points
3rd- 70 points
4th-12th- 60 points
13th-20th- 50 points
21st+ - 35 points

Division 3
1st- 70 points
2nd- 60 points
3rd- 55 points
4th-12th- 45 points
13th-20th- 35 ponts
21st+ - 20 points

All Divisions (Bonus Scoring)
+3 points for every placement higher than previous season.
+3 points for same placement as previous season.
+10 points for moving up a division.
-5 points for every placement lower than previous season.
-25 points for dropping a division.
(Placement points do not count if there is a division change. Division points will be given.)

What I like is it proves to cire that even though he has always been in top three and I want even division 1 my first season and had a rough second season, I'm STILL superior to him yet again :-P

Yeah, starting out at greatness doesn't help if you stay there, as far as this system goes. Another first place finish would give cire 103 more points, and if gcurrier finished 2nd, he would get 85 points. That would put cire ahead. We'll just have to see how the season finishes out. :)

I'm planning on moving up this season, I'm surprised I'm in first right now in Division 1, since I made my shows as difficult as they can be this season. If my second, third, and fourth seasons went as well as my first, I'd be up there.

Ismensink, I just looked at your profile and saw that your marching band never made top 12 in any season until this season and its hasn't ended yet. You are only up there if you were one of the "Division I groups that have finished in the top 12". :)

Yeah, if I had a lot more time I would have done it for all groups. If you place in the top 12 this season, I will update the list with your group in it. You would have 281 points also, unless I calculated wrong...
