Dark Horse, Inc. ensembles have been hard at work this season. Approaching a total of 50 regular season gold medals in their combined histories, the ensembles have proven to be at the top of their game.

All four ensembles performed in their respective home shows last night. Each ensemble took the gold medal and three of the four ensembles have now broken 60 with DarkBEAT less than a point away!

Dark Horse Drum and Bugle Corps's "HERO" is a moving tribute to soldiers at home and abroad that has earned them a fourth place position in the rankings as of January 2nd. And many fans of the ensemble say that this is the most beautiful and well-presented show in the drum corps's young but rich history.

DarkBEAT's mind bending "The Butterfly Effect" has already garnered chatter about the unusual treatment of Johan de Meij's "Extreme Make-over." Many audience members have left the competitions scratching their heads, however die-hard DarkBEAT fans are pleased with the innovation and everyone is waiting for the judges to get on board with the odd show.

Express took the reigns of "The Release" this season. Almost every ensemble in Dark Horse, Inc. has at one time or another performed the Michael Nyman work. Their beautiful rendition of the piece has earned them a top six berth.

Finally, STALLION has been hard at work with their show "Primary Colors." The show is unusually tame for the typically over-the-top ensemble which prides itself on unusual show concepts and innovative ideas. The band utilized their official song "True Colors" as an overture of sorts to the beautiful, though straight-forward show.
