The 5th annual Preview of Champions was once again a great success! Thanks to all the participating corps that came out and put on a fantastic show. With the final week approaching, may you continue on a successful season!

Now to the review...

In Division III we had the battle of two corps Kentucky Legends and Capital Crusade. In 2nd place was Kentucky Legends with a 51.050. Kentucky Legends had a great run tonight with their show Thunderstorms. The visual package was great for such relatively new group. The 1st place corps in Div. III was Capital Crusade, with their show Sketches, is posed to make Finals for the first time. The won all except one caption, visual performance. Good luck to both corps on your journey the rest of the season.

In Division II we had some amazing show. In 5th place with a score of 60.195 was Spin Cycle. Their show The Red Light was executed wonderfully. The music, based off of Miss Saigon, was like watching the 1991 Santa Clara Vanguard. The corps was on fire tonight visually and with the brass. With the score 62.730 and in 4th place was Graffitti. Their show, Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves, was one of the fan favorites and if Cher was in the audience, I bet she would be in love with the show as well. In 3rd place with a score of 62.965 was The Great Lakers. The Great Lakers, as well as well as Grafitti, are right on the edge of being in the top 12. The Great Lakers "May Come True" if they can improve just a little. They also won Music Ensemble, Visual Ensemble and GE. With a score of 63.275 and in 2nd place was Empire Brass with their show Alpensymphonie. The corps is on the hot seat right now as they hold onto the number 12 spot, which will put them in Finals. This group is well balanced; however, they did not win a single caption. Then we have our 1st place corps in Div. II, Miami Sound Machine with the score of 64.370. The corps is comfortably sitting in 8th place in Div. II. There is potential for the corps to move up a spot or so as well. Good luck to all the Div. II corps the remaining of your season.

Now for Div. I! In 5th place with a score of 77.350, Darkness. Their show ¡Danzòn! just make you want to get up and start to dance! The corps is currently in 6th place overall in Division I and looks for a high placement at Finals. In 4th place with a score of 81.060 was Blue Deviled Eggs. Their show Corps[s] is unique and creative and not only did they get 4th place at PoC, but are in 4th place in Div. I. With the score of 81.460 and in 3rd place was Sapphire Vanguard. This corps has been in Div. I since the first season and has consistently done well. This season has been the best season so far and they look for their highest placement with their show Kaleidoscope. In 2nd place with a score of 82.055 was the home corps, Epic.The corps brings the human spirit to life with their emotional show, Circadian Rhythms. The corps won top brass and color guard tonight and they are inching closer and closer to Nemesis, but will the be able to catch them? And finally our 1st place corps in Div. I with a score of 82.500 was Nemesis. The corps continues it success as it blazes through competition. With little over a week left they try to hold on to their overall 1st place standing and another title. Good luck to all of the Div. I corps as you prepare for the final stretch.
