The only reason my school was even close was because we allowed 7-12 + a [select] number of 6th. =/

I played Baritone for four years at Elmhurst High School (IN). In August, I will be heading back to the University of Toledo and will participate in my second year marching for the Rocket Marching Band.

I march for the Bowdon HS Red Devil MB of Pride. I could have marched my 8th grade year, but I don't know what happened. My freshman year I marched trombone as well as my sophomore year which I was section leader. My junior year I was drum major and this year I'm drum major again. After high school I plan on marching with Carolina Crown or Spirit. College I plan on attending Georgia State University or Jacksonville State University for two years and then transfering my last two years at the University of West Georgia.

I marched 3 years at Ben Davis High School on the west side of Indianapolis. Marched tuba my sophomore year and mellophone my junior and senior years. What a blast!

@Whiteprinceofangola That really isn't the norm, though. You should count your blessings that your band is of that size and quality (I'm assuming the quality because of the competitive circuit you're in).

I marched tenors for four years at Harris County High School, in Georgia. I'm currently at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University, a school that has a club football team and club marching band (that has nothing to do with the music school), which makes our music school able to be very picky (i.e. we avoid those that do college music for the marching band, which I personally believe drives up our quality).

I have huge respect for all of you music majors! Paying your dues to do what you love, the only way to be!

We are located in West Covina, CA (20 or so miles east of Los Angeles)

4-year alumni of the Fruitport High School Trojan Marching Band. 2004-2005, sousaphone section leader, 2006-2007 head drum majour.

All 4 years made State Finals for MCBA in Flight (aka Div) III. Got 10th (10 go to State, but there's 15ish in our div) every year, but my senior year while I was head Drum Majour we got the highest score our band ever got in it's existance, which was pretty cool.

Also, currently I'm in my rookie year at the GVSU Laker Marching Band. Scored a sousaphone solo in our competetive exhibition shows (mucho awesome being a rookie here), and it's lookin' pretty good for a shot at section leader next year.
