War Reqiuem uses the powerful composition of Britten's requiem mass, which was performed at the reopening of Coventry Cathedral after it had been destroyed in the bombings of World War II. This awesome work of force and magnitude has been arranged for the corps to perform as a stark reminder of war and the importance of peace.
