Fayette County Marching Dragoons

The Fayette County Marching Dragoons are a 1-time KMEA State Finalist in Class 3A. Formerly under the direction of Anderson Cooper, the FCMD defeated their long-time rival, Adair County, and kept them out of KMEA SMBC in 2007. But, Cooper has went on to work with Christian County's High School Band, and now Jacob Coomer has stepped in to fill his shoes. The FCMD heads into its third year of competition under their new director striving for success. In Season 20, the group saw tremendous success by placing 10th in the Division III Marching Band Grand Nationals Finals. They followed this up with what many called a disgrace in Season 21 with a placing of 56th in the Division II Marching Band Grand Nationals Prelims. The FCMD took many years off and now are back for Season 38 for blood.
