A drum corps formed to build musicianship, character, and leadership in its members. It was started in order to add a quality drum corps to the Midwest region. After one season in Minneapolis MN the Hornets moved to Milwaukee WI for better recruiting opportunities and a fresh start. After one completed season the Hornets advanced into division II where they went on to make finals every year and win three Medals. Then after five seasons in division II they were bumped up to division I. In recent seasons the Hornets have become a division 1 finalist group. The corps song is "Nessun Dorma"
