I love Allentown--such a great place to see drum corps!!!

Jealous. I'd definitely be there if I didn't have to drive from Kentucky to Virginia on Saturday...

I wish I can go to Allentown, but I will stay close to home and just go to all of the Finals events!

Ill be at finals too...it will be really odd that it is my first live event this year!

are you kidding me? LOL because they tied Cadets on Friday and won on Saturday by a whole .7? This is NO WAY a run away. Just a little while ago everyone thought Cavies had it in the bag and now they are third. There is still a week and a half left and finals is always a big push! The top 3 if NOT the top 4 are still very much in this. Corps have come from much further behind to win then 1 point. No to mention judges have been ALL OVER the place this season. I have my favorite but by no means would I say any corps is sure money!

I hope Crown wins. I have a soft spot for them and classic rock.

Anyone else on have opinions for the new marching band league? I guess FBOA would be cool. Although, I really like the idea of combining the names.

yea.. but gcurrier... it was just recently that they were all judged by the same judges... that makes a difference... but you are right... the next week or so is going to be very interesting.

part of what I am excited about is not knowing until Saturday night (THAT Saturday night) who wins!!! Those four have had same judging panels several times...I am sick of someone winning all season--if its BD fine but they have to work this time not just cruise through finals

I wish I could have gone to a show this season. Damn not having a job! 12 applications later and only got one place to interview me. Twice. Didn't get hired. =/

I figured it was only a matter of time for BD and Cadets to pass up Cavies.. I won't be surprised if Crown does it as well.

I don't know about now, but Allentown was a horrible place to march back in the late 90s. Horrible.

Bus parking still sucks.
Crowd still sounds super quiet since there's no back to the stadium.
Walking up that hill to the show still sucks.
Funnel cakes are still good.

I like that the busses end up being intermingled...it allows for more crowd interaction before and after shows...I think Madison and Allentown are both true old drum corps towns...so just something about how the two places welcome drum corps and own it...I sit down front so I dont have to walk the hill other than to get to souvey booths...funnel cakes, dough boy wanna be LOL

Yeah I think the field was replaced in the early 00's.. good too because it was god awful.

Oh god those hills! I have sneakers packed for just the case LOL

Nemesis started a new feeder corps Leviathan and the BeanTown Open is Aug 12. We will not be competing in any other shows until next season however
