gravity/orbit
Repertoire
1. Weightless
mainly front ensemble and brushes on drumline. No clear pulse at first, drill is scattered forms with slow drifting motion. Bass drums slowly give a light bass line to represent gravity.
2. Pull
The bass drum line slowly grows, as the drifting forms start to pull in. Sections begin locking into tempo, but unevenely. Lots of polyrythms but the same rhythm to represent rushing/dragging groups. forms start curving, arcs forming. People getting pulled in.
3. Orbit
Everything locks into a groove, repeated circular musical ostinatos. Call and response that rotates around the sections, body moves and drills and ripples that rotates around the sections.
