I've been falling behind in rehearsal, but I think finals is in my reach this season

about where I have been the last few seasons--which as busy as I have been, Ill take!

Right on track to get glitched out of another Gold Medal. Although whenever we use our show title as a form of protest it tends to work out well for us. If we can win with a show called "Bite Me, Judges" we can win with "The Glitch is Back."

As shown by this really late response, I've kinda taken a season off to recoup and fundraise. I'm hoping to hit it hard in the offseason here in a week though!

And somehow my color guard is in second despite being the first group to hit a 100 and not even glitching down tonight.

This is getting ridiculous honestly

I just want what I earned. I mean yeah in this case I'm talking about a Gold Medal, but all I want is a fair placement. It shouldn't be possible for a group that maxed their score before prelims to finish anywhere but first.

That's really unfortunate. I wish there was something that could be done with the color guard circuit. It's only a matter of time until the top 12 is all scoring 100s.

Speaking of the top 12 - five of the top 12 are all FLAG groups! In both division 1 AND division 2!! I'm super excited for everyone in our league!

I hear what you are saying corndogshuffle about you reaching a perfect score prior to prelims. However, to be fair to all player's you need to recognize for example that my Color Guard actually started almost 6 points ahead of your Color Guard & that I slowed the pace of my rehearsals on purpose or I would have hit a 100 even earlier than your Color Guard did. I actually did not intend to hit a 100 in Prelims & question if my Color Guard score will be able to be maintained through Semis & Finals. Time will tell. Like it or not, FMA is not set up to solely award a perfect score to the first group that achieves it in a season. Player's need to know the point threshold required to achieve a perfect score as well as the point threshold at which the score declines.

Congratulations to the Robinson Secondary School Indoor Guard on the 100 tonight in D1 finals. The Knight Guard was close to an 100 as well, but scored a 99.925 thanks to the glitch. FLAG also wants to congratulate the Veelas on an 8th place finish in finals, as well as Republic Venue and Allusion for their 9th and 10th place finishes.

Aria Guard brought home the bronze in Division 2 with a score of 92.385. Illumination was just shy of a top 4 finish, placing 6th. Spin and Rinse battled it out with the Tossing Pantherettes for 8th and 9th respectively. Starlight Winterguard represented FLAG in earning an 11th place finish in D2.

FLAG did not have any participants in the Division 3 finals, with the Poteet Somalian Pirates placing 18th in semifinals.

What a successful season for FLAG! I'm proud of all of our groups and look forward to each of us improving individually and as a group.

A few things I would like to throw out there to get some input from the league:

With the new season starting (most likely) tonight, where would you like to see FLAG host their contests this season? I am going to do my best to check at least hourly (if not more) for the next season to reset, and would like your opinions on where we should host our contests. Do we need to host more than one contest a week? I don't want to impede on our league members abilities to hold successful contests, but want to make sure we have enough contests to go to.

Secondly, do we have any suggestions on how to grow the league? We are pretty dominate and solid in division 1 and 2, but I would like to see some growth in the lower division 2 and in division 3.

Finally, is there anything you all would like from me to improve the league? I'm always open to any and all comments and suggestions!

Restart is usually at 11PM EST. It would be cool to have competitions at historic landmarks or pretigious colleges arenas known for hosting guard events like Dayton, OH. We just need to promote FLAG maybe hosting at least 2 competitions for division 2/3 only. It provides the divisions guaranteed events without being declined or locked out of competitions in the middle of the season. Of course the competitions would have to be hosted outside the league by league members, but it would be the biggest way to promote. We should probably create a website for FLAG history to show non-flag competitiors how dominate we are.

league events are up! We are starting in Las Vegas and working our way across the country. I used scooters idea of hosting at arenas that host guard events, so I looked at wgi's schedule and placed our events where they were hosting their regionals/championships. :) I don't know the history of real life guard events, but I'm assuming if it's good enough for wgi it's good enough for FLAG. :) be sure to join! Let me know if you have an event you want me to add to the calendar, as well.

I wish there was a way to create league events specifically for a division. We have plenty of money to host additional league shows. I could always create another couple with FLAG Division 2/3 Only, if our D1 groups promise to not join them. Or is there anyone who would be willing to host a guard event and only accept division 2 & 3 guard groups?
