It happens. When you don't get to see what your rehearsals are doing, sometimes you don't see what you really should be rehearsing. Don't forget about challenge levels you picked early in the season. We're starting to get to the point where those are beginning to have more of an effect.

For my challenge levels I don't usually pick the highest but more in the middle-high range. And I've never actually looked at my scores to base my rehearsals on. Oops I guess I would be a terrible band director...I just usually try to keep everything even and balanced.

I used to, too. But the weights on different captions it doesn't always work out well that way though. The game guide talks about how each caption weighs differently and that might help you.

The weights are a little harder to find the right balance in MB in my opinion, but luckily CG and DL is a lot simpler. Just because in DL the weights heavily favor one side of it and CG there are only 4 categories and the weights on them aren't hard to get the right combination.
